Starting this day with a mixture of gratitude and sorrow.
Gratitude for the ability to be here, writing this note from the safety of our humble home. Sorrow for the pain and hurt with news of another mass shooting. I feel sorrow for the pain we cause each other in this world.
What is it going to take for us to throw down the guns and embrace each other as friends and cohabitants on this planet, to come together for the common good?
When is enough truly enough?
I cannot help but hope that the tide is turning toward an awakening. We cannot give up hope. Prayers and well wishes must be followed with actions, even if that action is as simple as an embrace. Have the courage to be kind.
If you screw up, say your sorry.
Don't blindly believe something someone tells you. Realize that although someone may be passionate in their message, they may be misinformed.
Seek truth amd share knowledge.
Respect the wisdom of different perspectives, as well as your own experiences.
Everyone doesn't know what you know, amd no one knows everything.
Trust your instincts.
Your gut will tell you what is right or wrong.
If someone you know is about to make a mistake, be a friend and try to steer them in the right direction.
Sending love and light.
