Musings : 6/22/2015
"Look to this day! For it is life, the very life of life. For yesterday is but a dream And tomorrow is only a vision. But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day!"
Ancient Sanskrit Poem

Hey Everybody!

If you are reading this, you are very lucky. Why?
1) because you woke up today with another opportunity to create beauty in this world
2) you have internet access - which means you have many opportunities to learn something, share a story or your music or art or any number of many things.
3) Taylor Swift used her powers for good and helped change Apple's mind about deciding NOT to pay streaming royalties during their new streaming service trial period!

As for me,  personally, I'm most excited about moving forward with my dreams and goals of using my musical abilities for good. Every little bit helps.

By the way, I forgot to mention in my last two "Sunny" posts - this is a limited time campaign to raise funding to help Sunny while she recovers from brain surgery  -
and it ends June 30th.
The way it works is - if you want the download, all you need to do is make a donation to Sunny's You Caring campaign, then send me an email at marimack (at) gmail (dot) com - and I'll send you a download code.

Please be patient, as my bandcamp account shows I have a bunch of download codes available in one spot - but it says I have none left in another spot. Should have that figured out soon. In the meantime, stream it as much as you like.

And even though I haven't mentioned this in a bit, we are still in the midst of the Bread and Roses "Oh Say Can You Sing?" campaign - where some lucky internet savvy singer with lots of generous friends will win either the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at an Oakland A's game in August or five hours of studio time at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.
I've never been to Fantasy, but they've recorded some really great music there.
If you can't afford to vote with your dollars (each $5 donation = 5 votes) but have a couple of seconds to spare, please scroll down to the bottom left of my campaign page and make a comment to share on facebook (you have to be logged into facebook at the time - this is of course assuming you have a facebook page...)
That campaign ends July 18th which is also our next gig!

p.s. Still doing the "Can't Go Back" again : this week's tune is "Sometime" - I'll probably have to post a bit more about it sometime later this week :
